Senior Epic Clinical Applications Analyst (Ambulatory & MyChart)

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Epic Clinical Applications Analyst (Ambulatory & MyChart) to support the design, build, implementation, and optimization of Epic Ambulatory applications, Clinical Service Desk (CSD) operations, and MyChart patient engagement solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring deep Epic system expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to translate clinical and operational needs into efficient Epic workflows. This role plays a critical part in enhancing patient care, clinician experience, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, build, and maintenance of EpicCare Ambulatory applications.
- Support Clinical Service Desk (CSD) operations, including incident management, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
- Configure SmartTools, Navigators, SmartSets, Flowsheets, and questionnaires to support clinical workflows.
- Design and maintain MyChart functionality, including:
- Patient questionnaires
- Proxy access setup
- Patient communication workflows
- Develop and optimize BPA and CER rules, security templates, and SmartForm documentation tools.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to design efficient and compliant workflows.
- Participate in discovery sessions, workflow design, integrated testing, and go-live readiness activities.
- Provide post-implementation support, issue resolution, and system optimization.
- Ensure adherence to Epic standards, governance, and upgrade cycles.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve system usability and performance.
Requirements
- EpicCare Ambulatory Certification (active or within NVT period).
- 8–10+ years of Epic Ambulatory build experience with full life-cycle implementations.
- Experience in Clinical Service Desk (CSD) or production support environments.
- Strong expertise in MyChart, including questionnaires and patient engagement workflows.
- Hands-on experience with:
- SmartTools, SmartLinks, SmartSets, Navigators
- BPA (Best Practice Advisory) and CER rule configuration
- Experience with ServiceNow, Data Courier, and CAB processes.
- Familiarity with Epic master files such as EMP, SER, EAP, EOW, and EAF.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, or related field.
- Additional Epic certifications (MyChart, Orders, or other modules).
- Experience with:
- AI-driven clinical documentation or note summarization
- Community Connect deployments
- Integration with other Epic modules
- Clinical or healthcare domain background.
