Job Summary
To maintain and keep Plating Baths (and other tanks) in operational condition while following department safety standards
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Check work area every shift to solve any problems including spillage and contamination. Work areas should be clean at all times
- Record the previous day’s count on the daily log sheet
- Check lot cards to be sure the previous process has been completed
- Grease all grease fittings on barrels when needed – Wipe off excess grease
- Before Starting:
- Ensure proper PPE is used at all times
- Ensure paperwork is correct
- Ensure the proper caliber is being loaded
- Check parts at correct check times to confirm their progress
- Keep checking parts with scale – If they are within spec, return to barrel to finish, or rinse and dry
- Report any problems to the supervisor for corrective actions.
- Complete any other assigned tasks
Additional Requirements
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment that complies with all safety rules and procedures
- Clean, maintain, repair, and calibrate measuring instruments - Testing equipment such as scales, titration equipment, and other measuring devices.
- Work as a team member within Clearwater Bullets, production, accounting, customer service, procurement, packaging, and shipping.
- Become familiar with the SPC program.
- Load bullets to be cleaned, transferred, plated, and finished.
- Assist with daily duties (titrations, copper anode adding, filter changes, etc.)
- Add chemicals when needed.
- Visually inspect all parts before removing the Kincart form underneath the dryer or finalizing any paperwork – Then move to the staging area
- Make sure to fill out lot card completely with name, tank position, time in, time out, barrel number, initial plater, and finish plater.
- Replace worn or over used parts

- Problem Solving and Time Management Skills
- A Good Eye for Quality Inspection of Cores and Bullets
- Mental and Physical Demands: Computer use, Standing, Climbing, Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Carrying, Measuring, Noise, Heat/Cold, Atmosphere Exposures
- Great Motor Coordination Skills – Coordination of Eyes, Hands, and Feet
