Job Summary

To maintain and keep Plating Baths (and other tanks) in operational condition while following department safety standards

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Check work area every shift to solve any problems including spillage and contamination. Work areas should be clean at all times
  • Record the previous day’s count on the daily log sheet
  • Check lot cards to be sure the previous process has been completed
  • Grease all grease fittings on barrels when needed – Wipe off excess grease
  • Before Starting:
    1. Ensure proper PPE is used at all times
    2. Ensure paperwork is correct
    3. Ensure the proper caliber is being loaded
  • Check parts at correct check times to confirm their progress
  • Keep checking parts with scale – If they are within spec, return to barrel to finish, or rinse and dry
  • Report any problems to the supervisor for corrective actions.
  • Complete any other assigned tasks

Additional Requirements

  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment that complies with all safety rules and procedures
  • Clean, maintain, repair, and calibrate measuring instruments - Testing equipment such as scales, titration equipment, and other measuring devices.
  • Work as a team member within Clearwater Bullets, production, accounting, customer service, procurement, packaging, and shipping.
  • Become familiar with the SPC program.
  • Load bullets to be cleaned, transferred, plated, and finished.
  • Assist with daily duties (titrations, copper anode adding, filter changes, etc.)
  • Add chemicals when needed.
  • Visually inspect all parts before removing the Kincart form underneath the dryer or finalizing any paperwork – Then move to the staging area
  • Make sure to fill out lot card completely with name, tank position, time in, time out, barrel number, initial plater, and finish plater.
  • Replace worn or over used parts

  • Problem Solving and Time Management Skills
  • A Good Eye for Quality Inspection of Cores and Bullets
  • Mental and Physical Demands: Computer use, Standing, Climbing, Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Carrying, Measuring, Noise, Heat/Cold, Atmosphere Exposures
  • Great Motor Coordination Skills – Coordination of Eyes, Hands, and Feet
