Description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Learning & Development Specialist to design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs that support employee growth and operational excellence. This role is responsible for developing new training initiatives, enhancing existing programs, and ensuring all training aligns with safety, quality, and productivity and operation goals.
The ideal candidate is passionate about adult learning, skilled in instructional design, and experienced in delivering engaging training in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance training programs to support onboarding, cross-training, upskilling, safety, and process improvement initiatives.
- Create comprehensive training materials including classroom presentations, hands-on workshops, job aids, SOPs, simulations, and e-learning content.
- Deliver and present training material using a variety of instructional techniques including role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos and job coaching.
- Assess training needs by observing operations, reviewing performance data, and consulting with leadership and subject matter experts.
- Facilitate cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with manufacturing and operational goals.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics and report on outcomes and impact.
- Partner with leadership to reinforce learning and support employee development plans.
- Conduct new employee orientation, including training videos, paperwork processing, and associated onboarding tasks.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
2-5 years of experience in training, instructional design or learning & development.
