Arizona Democratic Party (ADP) is committed to building infrastructure essential to electing Democrats up and down the ticket. This is a great opportunity to get started working in Democratic politics!
Arizona Democratic Party Interns learn the ins and outs of Democratic Party politics with hands-on experience in a variety of departments. Interns work 10-20 hours per week, both independently and in teams, to assist in constituent services and departmental projects of their choosing.
We are excited to offer a flexible working arrangement with in-person, remote, and hybrid internship experiences.
Learning Objectives:
- Understanding of the Arizona Democratic Party structure
- Understanding of the skills necessary for various political departments
- Navigating and facilitating meetings on multiple digital platforms
- Researching and organizing a document regarding daily news clips relevant to Arizona politics
- Professional communication with the public and within a political institution
- Individualized learning experiences and niche strengths developed within departments based on varied projects
- Collaboration within the cohort to plan and execute a capstone project
Individual project duties may include:
- Research
- Data entry
- Graphic design
- Member and donor outreach
- Event planning and execution
- Monitoring and responding to incoming emails and phone calls
- Promoting and staffing events as needed
Interns will work on projects submitted by any department at our HQ office. Departments include:
- Administration
- Communications
- Finance
- Political Affairs
- Voter File Data
