Remount Strip Technician


Department: Production
Reports To: Remount Production Supervisor

At Life Line Emergency Vehicles we build emergency vehicles that first responders rely on every day. Our Remount team plays a critical role in extending the life of our ambulances by safely transferring modules from existing chassis to new ones.

We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined Remount Strip Technician to join our growing production team.

 

What You’ll Do

As a Remount Strip Technician, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently removing ambulance modules from existing chassis in preparation for remounting. Your work ensures the quality, integrity, and reliability of the final vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely disconnect and separate ambulance modules from chassis
  • Disconnect electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fuel, and mechanical systems
  • Remove and organize interior and exterior components as required
  • Label, tag, and properly store parts and hardware for reuse
  • Complete work tickets and follow remount process documentation
  • Identify damaged components and communicate concerns to leadership
  • Follow safety procedures, SOPs, and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with assembly, electrical, paint, and quality teams

 

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
  • Experience in automotive, heavy truck, RV, or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Ability to read work instructions and follow process documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong safety focus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment
