Available Positions
St. Pius X High School, serving students in grades nine through twelve, is a Catholic, college-preparatory school that provides a quality education by embracing academic excellence and promoting social and spiritual growth. This position is considered full-time.
Under the direction of the president and principal, the Women’s Campus Minister will collaborate closely with the Chaplain and Men’s Campus Minister to implement activities that support the mission of St. Pius X High School to “Restore All Things in Christ” and execute the strategic vision of creating lifelong disciples by partnering with families and teachers to build a foundation of faith for the greater glory of God.
Formation Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships with high school women and accompany them in their formation to Christian maturity. Invite young women to serve at all-school liturgies, into a women’s small group, to ministry events and/or leadership roles as appropriate.
- Plan and lead Faculty Faith Formation for faculty and staff including a start of the year Staff Retreat and bi-weekly small group or large group meetings.
- Teach and offer high quality formation to students enrolled in the Christian Leadership Course and students seeking to enter the Church through the RCIA class.
- Offer support and formation to the young women in leadership roles, particularly those in Tribe leadership and/or Student Ministry Team.
Event Planning Responsibilities:
- Promote the sacramental and liturgical life of the school by organizing all-school liturgies, Restore, and in-school adoration. Train student volunteers including altar servers, lectors, and sacristans. Maintain chapel sacristy.
- Plan, execute, and lead all logistics of a yearly class retreat for each grade level. Create a powerful environment of encounter through talks, games, community, prayer, and the sacraments. Recruit and train small group leaders for retreats. Lead and instruct school staff and/or parents to assist with behind the scenes elements of retreat day.
- Coordinate all details of yearly summer Guatemala mission trip to San Andres Itzapa including travel, work projects, schedule, fundraising, recruitment, supervision, etc. Communicate with Guatemala contact and maintain relations with local parishes who participate in the Mission Guatemala.
- Identify and coordinate other faith-building events for students and faculty including local pro-life workshops, field trips to local monasteries/convents, Relic Day, Serve Day, pilgrimages to March for Life, the Holy Land, World Youth Day, and the Steubenville Youth Conference.
- Invite and organize opportunities for Catholic speakers to share at all-school assemblies on topics of Christian formation (vocations, chastity, prayer, etc).
- Assist in promoting the Catholic identity of St. Pius X High School and celebrating Catholic schools during Catholic Schools Week and throughout the year during all major school events including Homecoming, Prom, and Warrior Week.
Other Responsibilities:
- Serve as one of the primary points of contact for all service opportunities and service hour related questions. Advertise and communicate local service opportunities to students and parents. Assist students in logging their service hours and completing service hour graduation requirements. Maintain contact with local service agencies.
- Collaborate with the Spiritual Life Committee to identify and implement creative solutions to close any gap between outreach and formation opportunities.

Requirements:
- A humble Catholic with intense zeal for the Gospel and for reaching the lost with a robust, consistent prayer and sacramental life.
- An ability to balance and prioritize many relationships and projects at a time.
- Servant leadership capable of inspiring, equipping, and empowering high school women to live out their call to personal holiness and mission.
- While this position typically works 7:30am-3:30pm M-F, occasional evening or weekend commitments will be normal for this role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Theology or solid grounding and formation in theological and philosophical principles.
- Experience in ministry, teaching or formation work, whether in a paid or volunteer capacity.
- Experience discipling women, whether individually or in a small group context.
- Experience in music ministry and AV Tech is preferred, but not required.
