Storeroom Clerk


Position Snapshot

A Storeroom Clerk is commonly expected to have knowledge of math, standard office equipment, and basic computer skills. To be successful in this role you will:
  • Issue material, tools, parts and inputs storeroom activity into MAXIMO.
  • Use iPad to perform daily cycle counts within storeroom inventory to assure adequate supplies are on hand and accounted for.
  • Evaluate inventory and ensure that reorders within the system are timely and accurate.
  • Receive in Maximo, uploads photo and properly stores parts/supplies in designated areas.
  • Coordinate supply pickups and deliveries as needed.
  • Place received items in proper storeroom location or deliver to proper internal customer
  • Enter requisitions for repair or maintenance items
  • Issue Maximo item numbers for additions to inventory
  • Rebuild and issue wiredrawing dies
  • Resurface (grind) used electrodes

Requirements and Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • knowledge of arithmetic, English and grammar. 
  • Accuracy and simple use of calculators, adding machine, telephone and typical office equipment. 
  • Adaptable to clerical routines.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Oracle and IWP computer system and any other computer software.
  • Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, calipers, and other measuring devices preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 months’ work-related experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
