Role Qualifications (Required & Preferred):
Education: High School diploma or equivalent (R), Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in Supervision, Management or Related Field (P).
Experience: 3-5 years of Industrial experience (R), Rolling mill experience (P), Supervisory experience (P).
Areas of Knowledge: Safety, Health & Environment (R), Labor Relations(R), Knowledge or Rolling Mill (P), Knowledge of Alloys (P).
Skills: Written and Oral Communication (R), Organizational skills (R), Leadership (R), Computer Skills (R), Interpersonal Relationships (R), Mechanical Aptitude (P). 5S (R).
Role Responsibilities:
- Safety, Health, and Environmental: Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with: Company policies and procedures. Job Safety Analysis (JSAs); Lockout/Tagout/Try procedures; Confined space entry procedures; the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); and Environmental policies.
- Labor Relations: Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with plant rules. Understands and follows the contract.
- Equipment Knowledge: Understands how equipment operates. Understands the computer-controlled rolling schedules.
- Product Knowledge: Understands the theory of rolling and the effect of heating and rolling schedules.
- Management: Assists the Supervisor in planning and scheduling the equipment to maximize production.
