Job Description

Larson Company is looking for an Accounting Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, values teamwork, and wants to make a meaningful impact within a stable, people‑focused organization.

What You’ll Do

As an Accounting Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations while partnering with teams across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Accounting Supervisor with monthly journal entries and the General Ledger close
  • Collaborating with business units to gather, compile, and consolidate financial data
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts to maintain accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Providing cross‑functional support, including serving as back‑up for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Recording and reconciling company credit card transactions and expense reports
  • Performing daily cash reconciliations
  • Contributing to special projects and other accounting initiatives as needed

  • Proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with accounting and ERP systems preferred (Epicor Prophet 21 a plus)

Education & Experience

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Also considered: Associate degree with 1+ year of general accounting experience
