Staff Development Coordinator Responsibilities: Ensures facility is in compliance with regulatory requirements relating to staff credentialing and education. Provides services associated with ongoing professional development of staff at the facility as well as the following:
- Conduct new employee orientation and coordinate competency completion.
- Ensure completion of annual mandatory and continuous education for staff using internal or external resources according to company policy, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate employee health program (immunizations, flu shots, physical exams, etc.)
- Maintain employee education, training and health files.
- Complete required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Create career development programs for new and existing employees.
- Administer surveys to determine the effectiveness of current training programs.
- Analyze survey results to revise training programs as necessary.
- Maintain training budgets.
Essential Requirements:
- Must be a Registered Nurse approved by the PA State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Long term care experience
- Experience facilitating and creating training programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
