Job Description: Volumetric Operations Manager

Position Overview

The Volumetric Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing all volumetric operations within the organization. This role involves managing the measurement, movement, and reporting of product or material volumes, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise volumetric operations teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Coordinate and optimize processes for measuring, transferring, and reporting volumes of products or raw materials.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulations pertaining to volumetric measurements and operational procedures.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain accuracy and consistency in volumetric data and reporting.
  • Collaborate with logistics, production, and quality assurance teams to streamline operations and support business objectives.
  • Utilize data analytics tools and technologies to monitor operational performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Oversee inventory management activities related to volumetric materials and coordinate with inventory control teams.
  • Report and respond to discrepancies or incidents related to volumetric operations, initiating corrective actions as-needed.
  • Prepare and present operational reports for senior management and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven experience with volumetric measurement systems and inventory management practices.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in manufacturing, logistics, or process-intensive environments.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and operational management software/tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and data analytics systems.
  • Professional certification (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP, APICS CPIM).
  • Background in industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, food & beverage, or bulk materials handling.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements in high-volume environments.
