Description
Primary Function:
This position will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project completion. This role requires a strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to work closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, subcontractors, and government officials.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules (e.g., MS Project, other scheduling systems), integrating them with cost and resource data to provide a comprehensive view of project performance for Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Work with Earned Value analysts and Cost Account Managers (CAMs) to ensure alignment between schedule data, cost data (such as from SAP and MRP systems), and EVM reporting requirements.
- Track project progress, identify potential delays or issues, and provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders.
- Coordinate resource allocation, including personnel and equipment, to ensure that project milestones are met on time.
- Identify potential risks related to scheduling and develop mitigation strategies to address potential delays.
- Ensure that all scheduling practices and documentation comply with government regulations and contractual requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of schedule changes, updates, and related documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Facilitate effective communication among project team members and stakeholders to ensure that everyone is informed of schedule changes and updates.
Work Conditions:
Employee will be working mostly within an office environment. Employee may travel to work site locations where employee will be expected to dress in an appropriate manner to deal with clients and customers.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- EVM Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Earned Value Management principles and practices.
- Scheduling Proficiency: Experience with scheduling tools and methodologies, including IMS development and maintenance.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze schedule data, identify variances, and develop mitigation plans.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate schedule and performance information to various stakeholders.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead teams, provide guidance, and mentor junior team members.
- Security Clearance: Current DoD Secret clearance desired but must be able to obtain clearance with an active in-scope investigation.
