Job Description

Experienced Automotive/Industrial Painter – Aluminum Doors

Take your craft to the next level.

We’re seeking an experienced Painter who takes pride in delivering flawless, automotive-grade finishes. If you have a strong background in spray application, paint mixing, and surface prep—and you care about doing the job right the first time—you’ll fit right in.

This is a hands-on role where your skill and attention to detail directly impact the final product.

What You’ll Do

You’ll own the full painting process from prep to finish:

Surface Prep & Setup

  • Chemically clean and prepare aluminum surfaces for paint
  • Sand, buff, and refine surfaces using DA sanders, buffers, and hand tools
  • Mask and prep components to ensure clean, precise finishes
  • Mix single-stage urethane paints using computerized systems for exact color matching

Spray Application

  • Apply coatings using HVLP gravity-fed spray guns
  • Deliver consistent, high-end automotive-quality finishes across all products
  • Identify and correct imperfections (runs, orange peel, coverage issues)

Equipment & Materials Management

  • Maintain and clean spray equipment and paint systems
  • Accurately match part numbers, work orders, and paint codes
  • Safely handle and dispose of paints, solvents, and hazardous materials

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Read blueprints and ensure builds meet exact customer specifications
  • Support process improvements and quality initiatives
  • Assist with paint inventory and material tracking
  • Cross-train and contribute across the department as needed

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in automotive or industrial painting
  • Strong knowledge of HVLP spray techniques and finish quality standards
  • Experience with urethane paints, paint codes, and mixing systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot finish defects and adjust technique accordingly
  • Solid math skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a production paint booth environment
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented

Work Environment & Safety

You’ll be working in a professional paint booth environment where safety is critical.

  • Required PPE includes respirator, paint suit, gloves, apron, and boots
  • Strict adherence to safety and handling procedures is expected

Schedule

Full-time, Sunday - Thursday with overtime opportunities.

  • Midnight Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Why Experienced Painters Choose Us

  • Steady, full-time work with consistent production
  • Opportunity to apply and refine high-level finishing skills
  • Team that values craftsmanship, efficiency, and quality
  • Cross-training and growth opportunities within the department
