The Community Outreach & Placement Coordinator plays a central role in managing the outreach, recruitment, and placement pipeline for the IRISE Ealy Education Pathways apprenticeship program. This role is responsible for executing targeted outreach strategies, building and maintaining community partnerships, and coordinating participant placement into early learning settings.

The coordinator serves as a key connector between IRISE staff, community partners, and placement sites, ensuring that recruitment and placement activities are organized, tracked, and progressing in line with program goals. A core function of this role is maintaining accurate, timely data across multiple systems to meet federal, state and local reporting requirements.

This position requires strong organizational and data management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple partnership and priorities simultaneously. The coordinator supports a structure recruitment and placement process that strengthens workforce pathways and ensures participants are successfully connected to training and employment opportunities.

Position:  Full time | non-exempt | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm | Monday - Friday

 

Responsibilities:

Outreach & Strategy & Recruitment:

  • Develop and implement a strategic outreach and recruitment plan in collaboration with the Early Learning Program Workforce Manager.  
  • Identify, engage and maintain relationships with community-based organizations, education partners, employer partners, and workforce agencies.
  • Conduct outreach presentations, workshops, and tabling events to promote IRISE and recruit participants. 
  • Coordinate logistics for outreach events, including materials, staffing, and follow-up processes.
  • Track outreach efforts, and outcomes using designated systems (e.g., Google Sheets, Salesforce).

Participant Placement & Coordination:

  • Coordinate placement of participants into Wu Yee early learning sites and external partner sites. 
  • Facilitate and coordinate interviews between participants and placement sites.
  • Maintain up-to date placement tracking and communicate regularly with IRISE program staff as well as Early learning staff (e.g., Center Managers, Mentors, Teachers, Family Services Specialist as applicable).
  • Provide follow-up coordination to support successful onboarding and integration of participants into placements.

Collaboration & Program Integration:

  • Work closely with IRISE program staff and IRISE leadership to ensure recruitment and placement efforts are coordinated and consistent with program goals.
  • Coordinate with designated internal teams to support outreach events staffing and participation (this role organizes and communicates needs; broader agency staffing coordination remains with program leadership).
  • Support cross-program recruitment efforts within Wu Yee Children's Services and collaborate with external partners as needed to strengthen workforce pathways.

Training & Support:

  • Support IRISE team members by sharing outreach practices, presentations, and recruitment processes to ensure consistency.
  • Develop and share outreach materials, talking points, and tools for use by IRISE staff and partners. 

Data Tracking & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activities, recruitment progress, and placement in Salesforce and required tracking tools.
  • Ensuring data entry and tracking aligns with federal, state and local reporting requirements, including participation in required workforce and apprenticeship data system (e.g., RAPIDS, Microsoft List., etc.).
  • Prepare and submit required reports related to outreach, recruitment and placement activities.
  • Ensure data integrity and timely reporting in compliance with program and funder requirements. 

Partnership Management & Representation:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for community partners and recruitment stakeholders.
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Represent Wu Yee and IRISE at community meetings, events and partner convenings.
  • Attend evening and weekend events as needed to support recruitment and outreach efforts (frequency may vary based on recruitment cycles).

Other Duties:

  •  Attend college classes or partner events as needed to support recruitment and program visibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of program operations. 

 

Education Qualifications & Skills required

  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach, recruitment, workforce development, or a related field. 
  • Demonstrated experience working with low-income communities and diverse populations, including the ability to build trust, communicate effectively, ans support participants in navigating systems asd resources.
  • Strong data management and tracking experience required, including maintaining accurate records across mulitple systems and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Experience in direct services and / or community-based program coordination preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with consistent follow-through.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The pay range for this position is $28.72 - $44.35. A new hire generally starts between $28.72 and $36.48. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets, relevant experience, internal equity, and other business and organizational needs.
