Job Description

Title: Financial Analyst I (Junior)    



Clearance Type: None 



Scope: Provides analytical and technical support to Navy financial management activities.



 



Responsibilities (including but not limited to):




  • Assist in the execution of Navy budgets by monitoring commitments, obligations, and expenditures to ensure alignment with financial plans.

  • Enter, update, and validate financial data within Navy financial management systems and tools.

  • Prepare, format, and maintain financial reports and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Analyze financial and program data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues requiring escalation.

  • Collect, organize, and analyze cost data to support cost estimates, cost models, and decision-making.

  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of financial systems, tools, and data repositories.

  • Support compliance reviews, audit preparation, and corrective action tracking as required.

  • Contribute to resource allocation analyses to support strategic and operational planning.

  • Perform administrative, analytical, and technical duties as assigned to support the overall financial management mission.
