Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

Development interns engage in a variety of responsibilities under the supervision of PAWS Chicago staff. Intern responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist employee giving/ matching program
  • Assist merchandise processes
  • Assist with credit card reconciliations and entering gift batches
  • Processes additions, removals and edits to constituent profiles in Raisers Edge
  • Serves as back-up for clean-up queries as needed

Requirements

 

  • Passion for animals and animal welfare
  • Outstanding written and personal communication skills, with great attention to detail
  • Energetic team player who encompasses a friendly, helpful demeanor
  • Must be organized and an excellent multi-tasker
  • Must be able to quickly learn the organization departments and programs Interest in providing administrative support to help strengthen efficiency, productivity, and workflow
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Raisers Edge a plus
  • A genuine interest in, and desire to learn more about animal welfare and the No Kill movement

Intern schedule:

  • PAWS Chicago requires that interns complete 12-20 hours per week over the course of a typical (3-6 month) semester for a minimum of 100 hours on the job.
  • Schedules and work accommodations will be discussed individually.
  • This position is based out of the Blazer Building (1933 N. Marcey Street Chicago, IL 60614)
