Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Pharmacist ensures safe, effective, and patient-centered medication therapy at St. Peter’s Health.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense medications
- Evaluate medication safety and effectiveness
- Collaborate with providers to optimize patient therapy plans
- Apply clinical guidelines and best practices to support care decisions
- Educate patients, families, and staff on medication use
- Support collaborative drug therapy protocols and administer vaccines
- Precept pharmacy residents and students
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams and document clinical interventions
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required. Completion of an accredited ASHP Residency Program preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Licensure as a registered pharmacist in good standing in Montana required. Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties certification preferred.
