Maintenance Manager
Summary/Objective
Oversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, docks, piers, and shoreside infrastructure supporting operational and engineering activities.
Essential Functions
- Manage employee's schedules.
- Responsible for maintenance checks on building/equipment and Import and Export Infrastructure, i.e. Piers and rail
- Keep timecards/payroll records
- Arrange for supply orders and delivery
- Keep employee personnel records
- Determine training needs for employees
- Train employees to understand customer supplied work instructions
- Provide disciplinary actions when necessary
- Comply with company rules and regulations and enforce them
- Ensure employee training records are complete, updated and forwarded to quality office
- Comply with customer rules and needs
- Ensure employees perform duties to meet quality requirements set forth by customer, management, ISO elements
- Relaying all quality information to ISO personnel such as customer feedback, training records, corrective Action Plans, and documents.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment
Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.
Physical Demands
Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily Monday through Friday, normally working 8 hours per day. This position may require overtime.
Travel
This position has no travel requirements.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Operations
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Credential).
