SUMMARY: 

The Accounts Receivable Lead will oversee an accounts receivables team.  

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Interviews prospective employees and chooses the best applicant based on skills, knowledge, and abilities required for the job. 
  • Trains and oversees employees.
  • Directs assigned tasks and provide assistance as needed. 
  • Assists with performance evaluations. 
  • Responsible to supervise the Accounts Receivable clerks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: 

  • Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. 
  • Responsible to supervise that clerks follow up on old transactions and keeps receivables schedule current.  
  • Must ensure that clerks maintain the reserve scheduled current.  
  • Promote proactive communication between all store and accounting staff to resolve problems.  
  • Supervise that incoming funds are accurately and timely posted to the DMS.  
  • Supervise EFTs are posted daily and in a timely manner.  
  • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records. 


Requirements

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Basic understanding of basic office applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).  
  • Operate 10-key calculators, typewriters, computers, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, with one year of experience in an accounting office; OR three or four years of accounting experience with at least two years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:  

  • Prolonged periods of sitting. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times. 
  • Occasional lifting, standing, reaching, use of stairs. 
  • Occasional attendance at social gatherings. 
  • Ability to travel occasionally. 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

  • Valid Texas Driver's License
