Position Summary

The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and safety of all facility infrastructure, utilities, and building systems. This role ensures that the workplace environment supports operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and employee safety while managing facility budgets, vendors, and maintenance staff.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Operations

  • Manage day-to-day facility operations including building maintenance, utilities, and infrastructure.
  • Start up new build experience.
  • Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building management systems.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
  • Monitor facility performance and address operational issues promptly.

Maintenance Management

  • Supervise facility technicians and maintenance staff.
  • Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and service schedules.
  • Ensure rapid response to facility-related incidents and equipment failures.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Manage relationships with external service providers and contractors.
  • Negotiate contracts for facility services (janitorial, landscaping, security, maintenance).
  • Ensure contractor compliance with safety and operational standards.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure facility compliance with OSHA, environmental, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness programs and safety procedures.
  • Manage building inspections, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Support workplace health and safety initiatives.

Budget & Cost Control

  • Develop and manage facility operating budgets.
  • Track facility expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Manage capital improvement projects and facility upgrades.

Space & Infrastructure Planning

  • Manage workspace planning, layout changes, and facility expansions.
  • Support operational teams with facility infrastructure requirements.
  • Coordinate office moves and space optimization.

Asset & Inventory Management

  • Maintain facility equipment inventories and documentation.
  • Track lifecycle and replacement planning for building infrastructure.
  • Ensure proper storage and management of facility tools and materials.
