Purpose:
The Lions Cupboard Coordinator supports and fosters the development and growth of the Lions Cupboard and other Wellness Center programs and services. The Lions Cupboard, located on the ground floor of Seton (SET G5), is Mount St. Joseph University’s on-campus food pantry.
The Coordinator serves as an active, approachable, and knowledgeable leader for the Lions Cupboard. With oversight from the Wellness Center Director, this position is responsible for the daily operations of the pantry, volunteer recruitment and supervision, and collaboration on additional basic needs and wellness initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Process and fulfill online Lions Cupboard food orders and collaborate with Wellness Center staff to connect students with additional resources as appropriate
- Oversee daily operations of the Lions Cupboard, including opening/closing procedures and maintaining a welcoming environment
- Manage inventory by tracking stock levels, organizing supplies, and coordinating restocking efforts
- Follow up with students after pantry visits to determine whether they successfully accessed referred resources
- Accurately input and maintain data, including survey results and intake information, while handling confidential information professionally
- Analyze intake and utilization data in collaboration with the Wellness Center Director and Institutional Advancement to identify trends and broader impact
- Complete monthly report that tracks utilization of the Lions Cupboard
- Assess resource needs for the Lions Cupboard through surveys and dialogue with students, employees, and community partners
- Initiate and maintain relationships with campus and community partners to strengthen support for the Lions Cupboard and other basic needs resources
- Partner with the Career Center to identify student volunteers
- Recruit, train, and supervise student volunteers to support pantry operations and outreach efforts
- Collaborate with the Wellness Center and other campus departments to ensure students’ basic needs are met
- Plan and lead outreach initiatives, including tabling events and awareness campaigns, to promote Lions Cupboard services
- Maintain positive, professional, and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community partners
- Partner with the Wellness Center Coordinator to support monthly Be Concerned food pick-ups
- Assist with monthly Wellness Center tabling events, workshops, and outreach efforts
- Collaborate with the Wellness Center Director to develop weekly social media content promoting the Lions Cupboard and Wellness Center initiatives
- Attend Quarterly Wellness Center team meetings
- Meet with Wellness Center Director weekly for supervision
