ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The Maintenance Technician position requires a skilled maintenance technician to inspect, troubleshoot and repair a variety of conveyor systems, Packaging Equipment, and -Laser Guided Vehicles, also known as AVG-Automated Guided Vehicles. An in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting and repairs is required. Will follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. In addition, the candidate will observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • Regular inspection, troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical production equipment throughout the facility
  • Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical and mechanical systems on all automation equipment
  • Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while conducting work functions
  • Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted
  • Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority
  • Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical and mechanical units to the supervising manager
  • Documenting spare and replacement parts required and completing all necessary documentation for the same
  • Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment
  • Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed
  • Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Schedule:                     BHD: Wednesday-Saturday 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM (10 hours)

 

Compensation:             $29.00 - $33.00 per hour + $1.50 shift differential
