About the job

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing product for shipping while maintaining the warehouse in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion. Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, etc. The normal shift is 40 hours per week in a Warehouse environment. This position may be assigned special projects as determined by the Supervisor.

Essential Functions

• Receive and verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking against a packing slip and reporting and/or recording any discrepancies or damaged items
• Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly. Load properly to ensure complete delivery
• Rework damaged finished goods, properly date coding and palletizing for distribution to warehouse
• Assist with month end inventory when necessary
• Assist with date code capture and proper rotation of inventory

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to regularly move/lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to spend the required shift hours (8-12 depending on shift) standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
• Certification of material handling equipment
• Ability to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
• Solid reading skills, basic math skills and reasoning skills
• Responsible for being knowledgeable of and acting in strict accordance with the requirements of all relevant laws, regulations, and Company policies, including, among other areas, Food and Drug Administration regulations

Preferred Qualifications

Warehouse and distribution experience, including material handling equipment experience
