Position Summary
The Investor Relations Director is responsible for developing and executing the company’s investor relations strategy to effectively communicate Syntec Optics’ vision, financial performance, growth initiatives, and market position to investors, analysts, shareholders, and the broader community. This role serves as a key liaison between company leadership and external stakeholders while supporting corporate messaging, public communications, and industry positioning.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Relations & Shareholder Communications
- Develop and maintain relationships with institutional investors, analysts, shareholders, and financial media.
- Support the execution of the company’s investor relations strategy and communication plans.
- Prepare quarterly earnings materials, investor updates, shareholder communications, and related disclosures.
- Coordinate investor meetings, earnings calls, roadshows, and conference participation.
- Respond to investor inquiries and provide timely, accurate information consistent with company policies and SEC regulations.
Presentations & Conference Participation
- Create and maintain executive-level presentations for investor meetings, conferences, board discussions, and strategic initiatives.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, investor events, and shareholder meetings.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop clear and compelling messaging regarding company performance, growth opportunities, and strategic direction.
- Assist senior leadership in preparing talking points, speeches, and presentation materials.
Public Relations & Corporate Communications
- Draft and distribute press releases related to company developments, financial results, strategic partnerships, product launches, and corporate milestones.
- Ensure consistency of messaging across investor relations, public relations, and marketing communications.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external partners regarding public announcements and media communications.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of investor-facing materials on the company website and public communication channels.
Industry & Market Analysis
- Monitor developments within the optics, photonics, advanced manufacturing, medical device, aerospace, defense, and technology sectors.
- Track competitor activity, market trends, analyst coverage, and emerging technologies relevant to the business.
- Provide leadership with insights regarding investor sentiment, industry developments, and market positioning opportunities.
- Support benchmarking and competitive analysis initiatives.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Engineering and Executive Leadership to gather and communicate business updates.
- Assist with preparation of annual reports, investor decks, SEC filings support materials, and strategic communications.
- Contribute to the development of long-term corporate messaging and brand positioning initiatives.
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in investor relations, corporate communications, public relations, finance, or related field preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Experience creating executive-level presentations and presenting to investors, leadership teams, and industry audiences.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and operational developments to both financial and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of capital markets, investor engagement strategies, and financial storytelling.
- Experience drafting press releases, corporate announcements, and investor communications.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with SEC disclosure requirements and public company communications preferred.
- Experience within optics, photonics, medical device, aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing industries preferred.
