Career Opportunities: Casual Teacher (95219)

Requisition ID 95219 - Posted  - Education - Guernsey

Service Area: Education Services

Salary Grade: Main Pay Scale

Salary Range: £38.6962 - £55.3091 per hour

States of Guernsey Education Services’ is seeking to attract teachers to its Register of appropriately qualified, vetted and skilled teachers who are prepared to work short assignments in Bailiwick schools on an irregular basis to cover for all types of short-term absence, as far as reasonably possible actively teaching and not only supervising learners.

There is no upper or lower limit on the number of hours that can be worked although each assignment will not usually require an extended continuous period of time which would normally attract a fixed term contract appointment to the specific role.

Pre-conditions to register include satisfactory employment references, qualification check, vetting and a valid Right to Work document. Pre-registration medical clearance is also required and a formal Induction with Education Services will be completed before a teacher can take up an assignment.

Continued inclusion on the Casual Supply Worker Register is dependent on undertaking regular professional development/training as required for the nature of the assignments undertaken and maintenance of vetting status.
