Job Overview
The Planting Team Member plays a key role in the installation of landscape projects by executing high-quality softscape and select hardscape work. This position supports the successful installation of plant material and related landscape features while working closely with teams in the field. The role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Load, unload, and transport plant material, soil, mulch, sod, and related materials to and from job sites
Install softscape elements including perennials, shrubs, and various sized trees according to design and best practices
Install sod and/or hydroseed, if needed, to ensure proper establishment and long-term success
Assist with small hardscape installations, such as retaining walls and landscape edging
Properly use hand tools and small equipment to complete planting and installation tasks safely and efficiently
Assist with job site setup, organization, and cleanup at the beginning and end of each day
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures while working on job sites
Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects on schedule and to quality standards
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work
- Reliable attendance and ability to work long days as project schedules require
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions, including heat and humidity
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and work on uneven surfaces and terrain
