Position: General Manager of People and Culture – NSW
Location: Macquarie Park, Sydney NSW
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of People & Culture (Australia & New Zealand), you will lead state-wide People & Culture strategy across NSW, partnering closely with operational and key account leaders to lift capability, strengthen engagement, manage risk, and deliver a consistent, purpose-led culture.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, coaching and enabling strong people leadership. 

  • Lead and support operational leaders in complex ER/IR matters.

  • Partner with leaders across key accounts to strengthen culture, engagement, and workforce capability.

  • Ensure compliance with ISS standards and promote a purpose-driven, inclusive workplace.

  • Partner with P&C Centre of Excellence to deliver People programs across NSW including talent, workplace experience and learning and development.

  • Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Use people metrics and data to shape actions and outcomes with leaders.


What you’ll bring:



  • Senior HR leadership experience in a large, complex, operational environment.

  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and proven IR/union consultation capability.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through complexity: structured decision-making, confident stakeholder influence, and calm judgement under pressure.

  • Strong investigation capability — thorough, objective and evidence-based.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building across internal and external stakeholders.

  • High interpersonal, influencing, and customer service skills.
