Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5-8 years if experience in a metal fabricating environment, with knowledge and experience operating and programming CNC lather and Mill machines
- Oral & Written Communication Skills, English
- Experience in Machining Fasteners
- Completed Machinist Apprenticeship Program
- Ability to understand mechanical drawings
- Ability to use measuring equipment
- Over 5 years of advanced experience / can set-up and start programming
Summary
Operate Lathes and Mills
Verify the material assigned to your work orders is in accordance to what your supervisor has requested to be pulled. Example - Starting OD , cut lengths and Quantity’s
Setup the computerized CNC Lathe/Mill machines to manufacture the material in accordance with the work order specifications or drawing provided.
Randomly inspects machined items during machining processes to assure they are being manufactured in accordance to the work order / drawing provided to you.
Assures orders are completed in a timely manner per the supervisor
Reports any quality and/or production problems to CNC Quality Assurance Inspector and Supervisor
Performs physical count of work-in-process, in accordance with the quantity of the work order.
Operate machines that you are assigned to by the supervisor and complete any assignments that has been prioritized and provided to you by the supervisor.
Receives the prioritized work orders from the Supervisor daily
Perform preventative maintenance on lathes, mills, and associated tools
Maintain a neat and orderly work area
Make suggestions regarding changes to improve department processes to maximize efficiencies and quality to your supervisor.
Conduct/assist in training as required by your supervisor
