We are currently seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide nursing oversight to clients that are seeking medically monitored withdrawal services at our New London Withdrawal Management facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform initial nursing assessments of clients and document ongoing assessments of clients that are response to treatment.
- Perform admissions of clients.
- Develop, implement, record, and evaluate nursing care plans according to age and specific needs of clients.
- Participate in or supervise the nursing care of clients, providing direct physical care measures as needed.
- Act as a primary nurse working with individual clients and coordinating their treatment.
- Execute the medical regimen of care as prescribed by the physician.
- Educate the client and family toward an understanding of health and illness and the plans for post-discharge care.
- Respond to medical and psychiatric emergency needs of clients.
Job Requirements:
- Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License (RN)
- CPR certification
- Computer Proficiency
- Experience in behavioral health / substance abuse field preferred.
Starting rate: $42.55 + generous shift differential for 2nd shift
