Job Description

Join us to find a supportive community dedicated to helping you achieve your fullest potential, and you’ll have an opportunity to make a significant and positive impact on the quality of lives and the community.  We are currently seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to provide nursing oversight to clients that are seeking medically monitored withdrawal services at our New London Withdrawal Management facility. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform initial nursing assessments of clients and document ongoing assessments of clients that are response to treatment. 
  • Perform admissions of clients. 
  • Develop, implement, record, and evaluate nursing care plans according to age and specific needs of clients.   
  • Participate in or supervise the nursing care of clients, providing direct physical care measures as needed. 
  • Act as a primary nurse working with individual clients and coordinating their treatment. 
  • Execute the medical regimen of care as prescribed by the physician. 
  • Educate the client and family toward an understanding of health and illness and the plans for post-discharge care. 
  • Respond to medical and psychiatric emergency needs of clients.

Job Requirements:

  • Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License (RN)
  • CPR certification
  • Computer Proficiency
  • Experience in behavioral health / substance abuse field preferred.

Starting rate: $42.55 + generous shift differential for 2nd shift
