Job Description

Elementary Classroom Teacher
Location: Carlisle School District
Contract Length: 190 Days
Reports To: Principal


 


Job Goal:
Provide standards-based instruction aligned to the Arkansas Academic Standards and district curriculum. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based instruction grounded in the Science of Reading to meet the diverse needs of all students.


 


Qualifications:




  • Valid Arkansas teaching license or acceptance into a DESE-approved Alternative Licensure Program in K-6 Elementary Education




  • Knowledge of the Science of Reading




  • Completion of, or willingness to obtain, required R.I.S.E. credentials




  • Strong communication and collaboration skills




Performance Responsibilities:




  • Plan and deliver standards-based instruction




  • Implement systematic literacy instruction aligned to the Science of Reading




  • Differentiate instruction to meet student needs




  • Assess and monitor student progress




  • Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment




  • Communicate with parents/guardians regularly




  • Participate in professional development and collaborative planning




  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with requirements




  • Integrate instructional technology




  • Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility




  • Perform other duties as assigned




Terms of Employment:
190-day contract in accordance with district policy and salary schedule.


 


Evaluation:
Performance evaluated per district policy and Arkansas Department of Education guidelines.
