SUMMARY



Responsible for setting up tray line and serving meals to patients. Must maintain equipment and sanitation standards for DHEC regulations. 



 



 RESPONSIBILITIES



• Portions, serves and replenishes fresh food items for patients.



• Sets up/refills beverage station. Keep condiment bins stocked and cleaned at all times.



• Keeps floors clear of food particles. Cleans all stations/areas in the kitchen.  Cleans empyies lowerators and delay carts



• Checks to ensure that all food/utensils etc. are available on patient serving line.



• Arrange items on patient trays for neatness, accuracy and attractiveness.



• Moves the lines (dish room and tray line) speedily without harassing or rushing the other employees.



• After meals, return food items to proper place in the kitchen. Cover, date and mark items that are put in cooler. .



• Turns on/off and/or checks steam table for proper temperature and cleanliness after each meal.



• Ensures that food carts/juice orders are delivered/retrieved to units in a quiet and timely fashion and nursing is notified.



 



QUALIFICATIONS:



HS Diploma or GED equivalent required; requisite experience in similar role will be considered in lieu of education when appropriate.



• Ability to understand and carry out both written and oral instructions.



• Requires two (2) to three (3) weeks on the job training to become proficient in job responsibilities.
