Description of the Role

1 The AMS Lead will perform a critical role in Application Support and Service Management with responsibility to ensure stability continuity and availability of the application in addition to providing rapid response to incidents and escalated user queries

2 Technical Support and Maintenance of the Business Service and Applications

3 Handson and should be able to work independently and if required coordinate with component digital team mates

4 Responsible for support implementation of application improvement initiatives

5 Own maintain and track incidents through their entire lifecycle

6 Strong Analytical skills

7 Utilise the bank defined best practices standards and tools in application delivery documentation and support





Brief Overview of the Role

1 Takes responsibility for the technical solution to incidents and problems reacting quickly and as necessary to live software errors to limit downtime and resolve the issue by coordinating with component digital teams

2 Takes accountability for ownership and execution of all application support related activities related to the day to day operations of the Banks production applications related to the individual Product area

3 Prioritization of individual Incidents and ensuring the delivery of solutions in line with the Operational Level Agreements to deadlines and quality standards providing regular updates to key stakeholders and all levels

4 To maintain close coordination with client to attend to high priority production issues or new requirements that need urgent implementation

Essential Skills

1 Evidence of strong experience of IT software support

2 Good communication skills

3 Experience on direct client interaction coordination

4 Good knowledge of BFS domain

5 Experience in JavaJ2EE

6 Good knowledge in UnixLinux

7 Experience in writing queries in SQL language for running on Oracle MS SQLPostgress or other DBMS essential

8 Able to investigate and debug production issues from technical perspective

9 Functional knowledge of Digital banking will be added advantage

10 Good knowledge of OpenShift Container Platform will be an added advantage
