- Report statistics of student accidents, illness, and immunizations for the school nurse on a manual or automated system.
- Compose and send written notices about health activities and concerns to students and parents as required.
- Initiate and maintain contact with parents by phone as needed to communicate health-related concerns and updates.
- Dispense medication to students as prescribed by the student's doctor, according to District policy.
- Maintain close communication with the school nurse on proper procedures to be used in dealing with health problems and activities.
- Work closely with teachers, counselors, administrators and parents on the health care needs of students.
- Perform other health service duties as assigned by the nurse.
- Maintain accurate routine records.

- Assist with staff training on minor health needs for students and review any health plans with summer staff

- Registered Nurse (RN) certification required.
- Previous work in a school health office setting preferred.
- CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.

- Knowledge of data privacy and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
