Pennrose is seeking a motivated and professional Property Operations & Leasing Support Assistant to support an on‑site team. This summer temporary role is designed for a college student exploring careers in property management, real estate, or housing development and provides hands‑on exposure to day‑to‑day property operations.
The role serves as a key administrative and customer service support position within the leasing office and is ideal for someone looking to build foundational experience, professional confidence, and resume‑ready skills in a real estate setting.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a point of contact in the leasing office by greeting residents, applicants, vendors, and visitors professionally
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails related to leasing and property operations
- Support leasing and property management staff with administrative and clerical tasks
- Assist with organizing, filing, and maintaining applicant records, lease‑up documentation, and resident files
- Perform data entry and track basic leasing or move‑in information as directed
- Help prepare and assemble move‑in packets, welcome materials, and general office documents
- Schedule appointments, interviews, and resident meetings
- Maintain an organized, welcoming leasing office environment
- Provide courteous customer service while handling sensitive information discreetly
- Assist with additional office or lease‑up support tasks as needed during high‑activity periods
Learning & Professional Development
- Exposure to lease‑up operations and the early life cycle of a residential community
- Introduction to property management systems, documentation, and workflows
- Insight into affordable housing and real estate operations (where applicable)
- Development of transferable skills in customer service, administrative operations, and professional communication
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in college (preferably a rising junior or senior)
- Interest in property management, real estate, housing, business, or related fields
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Customer‑service oriented with a positive, dependable attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Preferred (Not Required)
- Prior administrative, receptionist, office support, or customer service experience
- Interest in residential leasing, housing, or community development
