At Suncore, we’re looking for a skilled estimator to join our team and help secure large-scale commercial excavation projects. Leverage your expertise in bidding, negotiation, and project management while enjoying exceptional benefits and a company culture that values people and growth.

 

Things You’ll Do 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, owners, and agency representatives.  
• Successfully prepare bids, negotiate contracts, and win large commercial excavation projects.  
• Effectively oversee writing of proposals, bidding correspondence, budgets, project resource needs.  
• Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price list, etc.  
• Prepare detailed estimates by calculating complete scope of work and materials.  
• Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering, quality, or availability of materials.  

 

Requirements 

• 4-year Construction Management/Engineering degree, or equivalent combination of technical training and or experience.  
• Experience with the following software is beneficial HCSS, Viewpoint, P-6, Trimble Business Center, or Agtek. 
• 2-5 years of experience in the field.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.  
• Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.  
• Strategic thinking skills.  
• Excellent customer service skills.
