The Center for Translational Research in Neuroimaging and Data Science (TReNDS) is focused on developing, applying and sharing advanced analytic approaches and neuroinformatics tools that leverage advanced brain imaging and omics data, with a goal of translating these approaches into biomarkers that can help address relevant areas of brain health and disease. Large scale data sharing and multimodal data fusion techniques are the underpinnings of our approach.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Data Administrator, Lead are the following:
Design and Administration of Research Databases
Lead the design, implementation, and day-to-day administration of relational and cloud-based databases that support multimodal neuroimaging, clinical, behavioral, and biomarker data for TReNDS Center projects.
Data Ingestion, ETL, and Integration
- Develop, maintain, and optimize automated data ingestion and ETL pipelines to integrate data from imaging platforms, clinical data systems, and external collaborators into standardized, well-documented database schemas.
Data Quality, Integrity, and Version Control
- Establish and run routine QC procedures, validation checks, and audit trails to ensure data completeness, accuracy, and consistency across studies, including managing schema changes and dataset versioning.
Security, Access Control, and Compliance
- Configure and monitor user roles, permissions, and access logs to protect sensitive data, ensuring that all database operations comply with institutional policies, IRB requirements, HIPAA, and relevant data use agreements.
Collaboration, Documentation, and User Support
- Work closely with investigators, analysts, and software engineers to understand project needs; provide curated analysis-ready datasets; maintain technical documentation and SOPs; and offer training and support to database users.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
· Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
· Experience working with biomedical, neuroimaging, or clinical research data (e.g., MRI, biomarkers, clinical assessments)
· Familiarity with research data platforms and standards (e.g., COINS or similar CTMS systems, BIDS, XNAT, or other imaging data repositories).
· Experience with cloud and containerized environments (e.g., AWS or other cloud platforms, Docker/Singularity) and basic DevOps practices
· Background in data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning for analytics-heavy workloads.
· Knowledge of data governance and privacy frameworks, including HIPAA, IRB constraints, and de-identification practices.
· Prior experience supporting interdisciplinary teams of investigators, analysts, and software engineers with custom queries, data extracts, and documentation.
