The Corporate Director of Finance & Accounting provides strategic leadership for all financial and accounting functions supporting Insite Development Group’s real estate development initiatives, while also overseeing accounting operations for the company’s hotel and retail assets, as well as its joint ventures and partnerships.



The role directs financial oversight of development projects, including budgeting, capital planning, forecasting, compliance, and investment reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and strong financial governance throughout each project lifecycle.



Additionally, the Director ensures rigorous financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls across both development, hotel and retail operations. The position leads the accounting team in delivering timely reporting, audit readiness, and consistent adherence to corporate financial policies to support enterprise-wide decision-making.



2. Key Responsibilities




  • Oversee all accounting functions to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.

  • Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and USALI standards.

  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.

  • Coordinate and manage external audits and internal reviews, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor requests.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, coordinating with external advisors as necessary.

  • Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

  • Monitor the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.

  • Provide oversight for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and general ledger functions.

  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and executive teams to support budget adherence and financial decision-making.

  • Maintain accurate records for joint venture and partnership entities, including proper treatment of capital contributions, distributions, and allocations.

  • Ensure proper application of waterfall distribution models and joint venture accounting principles.

  • Deliver internal financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and compliance issues.

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasting to anticipate financial performance.

  • Any other responsibilities related to the accounting and finance functions.
