First State Community Bank is seeking a motivated individual with a positive outlook and strong work ethic to fill the role of Loan Officer.



As an FSCB lender, you will be a connector. You'll connect people to the loan solutions that are specifically designed to fit their needs. You'll help start new businesses, help a family buy their very first home, or even help someone establish credit. You connect people to what's possible.



For many, you'll be the go-to person for financial advice and expertise. Our best lenders are a mix of practicality and flexibility, who know how to use the right tools to create lasting relationships.



The Loan Officer position will be responsible for business development within the community and administration of good, quality loan portfolio consisting of consumer, real estate & commercial loans.



 



Responsibilities in Accordance with Our Corporate Values



Professionalism




  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key partners in the community (e.g. Realtors, Tax Professionals, Developers, etc.)

  • Provide prompt, courteous attention to all customers to meet their financial needs



Accountability




  • Coordinate interaction between borrower and all other parties involved, keeping customers updated throughout the process

  • Ability to work independently, under pressure and against time deadlines



Initiative




  • Keen attention to detail as it relates to loan applications, loan processing, new regulations, bank policies and procedures

  • Proactive communication with account holders with loans in arrears

  • Understand all compliance aspects of lending HMDA, RESPA, Fair Lending, Reg B, Reg O, Flood Determination, Reg Z, CRA, etc.



Adaptability




  • Demonstrated abilities in the areas of problem-solving, analysis, and time management

  • Keep up with all compliance aspects of banking BSA, Privacy, OFAC, Security, Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg E, Patriot Act, etc.

Qualifications




  • College Degree preferred

  • Strong decision making skills required

  • Attention to detail is a necessity

  • Prior sales experience preferred

  • Proficient & timely communicator; in-person, phone, electronic

  • Must possess ability to maintain high productivity in unstructured work environment

  • Exceptional customer service skills required
