Job Description

Mechanical Engineer

 

ACS seeks to hire a Mechanical Engineer who is highly knowledgeable and experienced in Industrial HVAC and Mechanical Systems design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The individual will work with engineers of varied disciplines to fulfill the facilities mechanical engineering responsibilities for a variety of laboratory, process, and industrial projects. This position is located in our headquartered office in Verona, WI or our regional office in Troy, MI.

Basic requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent Engineering Degree.
  • Multiple years of experience in Industrial HVAC and Mechanical Systems design at a consulting engineering firm or a Design/Build Mechanical Contractor.
  • Knowledge and experience with chilled, tower, process and hot water systems, steam, gas, refrigeration, compressed air, fuel, comfort and process air side systems.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks as well as a proven record of excellent client service.
  • Work to meet client deadlines including balancing multiple priorities and responding to changes in deadline, scope and design as they occur. 
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer facilities for design meetings, equipment installation supervision and commissioning.
  • Work experience at a Mechanical Contracting firm desired but not required.
  • Experience with fire suppression, plumbing systems and PLC control systems would be a plus but not required.
