Role Overview
The Sales Support Analyst will play a
critical role in enabling sales success by delivering high-quality customer
research, market intelligence, and analytical support. This role bridges sales,
marketing, and product teams by translating customer and market insights into
actionable sales strategies, account plans, and opportunity development.
This is an ideal role for a detail-oriented
analyst who enjoys research, data synthesis, and supporting complex, technical
sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Customer & Market Research
- Conduct in-depth research on target customers, prospects, and
strategic accounts across aerospace, defence, and advanced industrial
markets - Analyse customer needs, buying behaviours, organizational
structures, and competitive positioning - Develop customer profiles, personas, and account briefs to
support sales outreach and opportunity planning - Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging
market opportunities
Sales Enablement & Analysis
- Support sales teams with data-driven insights for account
strategy, pipeline development, and deal prioritisation - Prepare sales intelligence materials including briefing
documents, call prep summaries, and opportunity research - Analyse CRM data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
within the sales pipeline - Track customer engagement, win/loss data, and feedback to
inform continuous improvement
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales, marketing, and product teams to align
customer insights with messaging and value propositions - Support proposal development by providing customer-specific
insights and background research - Assist with market segmentation and go-to-market strategy
development
Reporting & Documentation
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and research
repositories for ongoing sales use - Document findings clearly and concisely for both technical and
non-technical audiences
Requirements
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics,
Engineering, or a related field - 2–4 years of experience in sales support, business analysis,
market research, or a similar role - Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
- Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to synthesise complex technical and market information
into actionable insights
Preferred
- Experience in aerospace, defence, electrification, or advanced
technology industries - Familiarity with B2B sales cycles and complex, high-value
products - Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau,
or similar) - Experience supporting account-based selling or strategic sales
initiatives
