    BARTHOLOMEW CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL FOUNDATION 

    The Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation (BCSF) supports Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) by generating financial resources, building partnerships, and promoting philanthropy to enhance educational opportunities for students. 

    MISSION: To support the work of BCSC by providing financial resources and by promoting awareness and philanthropy for programs that help students achieve educational excellence. 

    POSITION: Executive Director 

    STATUS: Exempt - Full time 

    REPORTS TO: Board of Directors 

    SALARY: $52,000 - $55,000 (commensurate with experience) 

    POSITION SUMMARY: 

    This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a self-starter who is energized by building relationships, growing philanthropy, and advancing educational opportunities for students. 

    The Executive Director serves as the primary ambassador of the Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation and is responsible for leading all aspects of the organization, with a strong emphasis on fundraising, donor engagement, and community partnerships. They work closely with the Board of Directors, school district leadership, and community stakeholders to grow philanthropic support and expand the Foundation's impact. 

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    •        Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with a proven track record of leadership and achievement. 
    •  Fundraising Expertise: Demonstrated success in donor stewardship, relationship-building, and securing philanthropic support. 

    •  Operational Excellence: Self-directed leader capable of managing multiple priorities, working with Boards/volunteers, and navigating relational databases. 

    •  Communication & Vision: Exceptional verbal/written communicator with a genuine passion for public education and student success. 

    •  Tech Savvy: Proficient in Google Workspace and donor management systems.

       

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

    Fundraising & Resource Development 

    •  Design and execute a strategic plan to grow major gifts, corporate partnerships, and endowment sustainability. 

    •  Manage the full donor lifecycle (identification through stewardship) and maintain the donor database and records. 

    •  Lead all fundraising initiatives, including annual campaigns, employee payroll giving, and major events. 

    •  Oversee the grant process, from application to reporting, and engage the Board in development efforts. 

    Community Engagement & Partnerships 

    • Serve as the primary ambassador to increase Foundation visibility and strengthen ties with district, civic, and business leaders. 

    • Direct all organizational communications, including social media, press relations, quarterly e-newsletters, and the annual report. 

    Leadership & Strategy 

    •  Collaborate with the Board to define strategic priorities, set annual goals, and track organizational progress. 

    •  Ensure all Foundation initiatives remain closely aligned with school district priorities. 

    Finance & Administration 

    •  Manage daily financial operations, including fund processing, bill payment, and monthly bank reconciliation with the accounting firm. 

    •  Partner with the Board Treasurer to develop the annual budget and monitor all fund balances. 

    •  Administer scholarships and grants, including fund distribution to universities and program oversight. 

    •  Maintain all nonprofit compliance, documentation, and reporting requirements.
