JOB TITLE:

Plant Manager 

The Plant Manager is responsible for the safety, quality, and productivity of the Blaze/Cafco blending operations. This position manages the daily activities of employees to achieve the company’s goals and objectives. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the facility meets expectations for production scheduling, inventory control, operating rate, and facility financial performance. The Plant Manager leads by proactively resolving employee issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide effective, positive leadership to motivate a team of hourly production employees

 Ensure all EHS programs are followed and drive the plant team to cultural improvement where no employees get hurt.

Plan, direct and coordinate the manufacturing of products in compliance with company goals and objectives.  Take leadership of plant operating daily metrics and MDI (managing for daily improvements) program.

Ability to analyze safety, quality and productivity issues and take corrective measures.

Make sure that inventory levels are accurate.

As required, lead the identification and set-up of various processing equipment.

Promptly and accurately complete all record keeping assignments.

Maintain a clean, safe and well-organized department.

Ability to multi-task while dealing with multiple, competing priorities.

Coach employees for attainment of company and individual goals and objectives in accordance with Company guidelines and performance management system.

Drive Continuous Improvement Projects, through analytical processes, strategic planning, critical evaluation and precise communications.

JOB TITLES DIRECTLY SUPERVISED:

Plant Shipping and Manufacturing team

SCOPE OF POSITION

The position reports to the Regional Operations Manager.  Develop and improve plant performance including safety/EHS, cost reduction, waste minimization and shift/equipment operation and optimization.   Provide after-hours support as needed.   

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in technical field (engineering preferred) and 5 years of production management experience or Associates Degree and 10 years of Production Management experience.  

KNOWLEDGE:

Powder blending operations and packaging experience preferred, but not required.  Production scheduling and process optimization.

SKILLS:

Microsoft software (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), is required.  Proficient use of the Excel data analytics package preferred. Ability to work under minimum supervision. Ability to multi-task. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions during group meetings, happenings, etc.


The base salary anticipated is $80,000 - $110,000 per year for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, actual compensation may vary and will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to, the applicant’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors. Isolatek International reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on company and personal performance.
