Trivett's Furniture is a premier Home Furnishing retailer in Virginia.  Our Assistant Managers are key to supporting the sales team and ensuring a positive in-store experience for every customer, contributing to increased sales, profitability, and customer loyalty. The Assistant Manager assists in guiding and developing a team of retail professionals, supporting the execution of the company’s sales approach, and meeting key performance goals while adhering to company policies and operational procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Help maintain a store environment that aligns with company brand and corporate operating procedures.

  • Assist in hiring, training, and retaining a high-quality team of enthusiastic associates.

  • Coach the team using the company’s selling skills model and drive action to improve results.

  • Use performance metrics to guide the team and foster a world-class selling environment.

  • Leverage company resources to keep associates updated on product knowledge, sales techniques, and operational efficiency.

  • Support the management team in upholding the highest ethical standards and ensure they are maintained throughout the store.

  • Ensure associates have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs effectively.

  • Lead weekly meetings focused on improving product knowledge, customer satisfaction, and overall performance.

  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members based on results and performance.

  • Analyze business trends, help develop strategies and implement plans to maximize sales and achieve goals.

  • Ensure store displays and signage are appropriate and engaging for customers.

  • Actively monitor performance issues and assist with recruiting management and sales associates.

  • Ensure adherence to security protocols and confidentiality standards.
