St. Patrick School in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a full-time teacher’s aide for its 2026-2027 school year. A teacher’s aide’s primary role is to offer students an extra level of support and guidance inside and outside of the classroom. This position will work one-on-one with the classroom teacher and students in our school. This position will report to the principal.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with instructional support: This includes working one-on-one with students, preparing classroom materials and others as needed. Implement activities planned by the classroom teacher.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and preparation
  • Work with students individually or in small groups.
  • Provide for students’ social and emotional needs through respite activities.
  • Attend and participate in professional learning activities as assigned.
  • Encouraging positive peer interactions and social-emotional development
  • Promoting inclusivity and a sense of belonging
  • Empowering students to engage in classroom activities
  • Complete other assigned tasks.

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Experience working with children in a classroom setting
  • Patience, flexibility, positive attitude
  • Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
  • Ability to uphold privacy and confidentiality
  • Promote a positive school environment and classroom atmosphere
  • Ability to uphold good attendance and punctuality
