Job Description

Schedule: nights/overnights, available on weekends and holidays

Job Specific Competencies:

  • Demonstrates skill in cleaning/disinfecting a variety of rooms used for patient care and treatment.
  • Is knowledgeable of procedures for cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety.
  • Is able to work with minimal supervision. Is able to organize cleaning duties and prioritize work to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
  • Maintains collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
  • Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Prefer high school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Prefer 1 to 2 years of work experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in floor stripping and waxing techniques.
  • Proficient in the operation and maintenance of various machine floor operation equipment (e.g., automatic scrubbers, high-speed buffers, carpet extractors).
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push heavy equipment for extended periods.

 

Pay Range: $18.25 - $20.00 per hour

Starting Rate: Based on experience
