Job Description

Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment currently has a Machine Operator opportunity at Ellsworth Adhesives. This role reports into our TapeCase division located in Elk Grove Village, IL. Hours are 6:00am- 2:30pm. 

At TapeCase, we design, convert, manufacture, and distribute highly engineered adhesive tape products. We add value to the highly engineered products we sell by enhancing their delivered formats by offering expansive tape converting services to provide a custom tape solution for nearly any application. The Machine Operator sets up and safely operates production machinery. Participates in continuous improvement efforts.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sets up and safely operates production machinery
  • Inspects production machinery and troubleshoots minor issues
  • Performs necessary preventative maintenance
  • Conducts quality inspections at the source
  • Performs changeovers of dies, gear assemblies and pump filters
  • Sets up dispensing production machinery
  • Safely operates required power and hand tools
  • Troubleshoots and reports corrective actions after rectifying machine issues
  • Dispense molten adhesives onto paper lines during the production process

 REQUIREMENTS

  • 2 years of production work experience (3 years of production work experience preferred)
  • Must be eligible for any required authorizations from the US government to work with controlled product and information.
  • High school diploma or equivalency. An equivalent combination of job experience and education may be considered.
  • Must be able to work between the hours of 6:00am- 2:30pm. 
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Forklift certification is required within 3 months of hire
  • Ability to read
  • Basic Math
  • Ability to learn how to operate machinery
  • Ability to provide basic maintenance to machinery
