Job Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Nutritional Services, is responsible for the planning, organizing, and supervision of a single school site food service production unit; prepares and cooks and/or supervises the preparation and cooking of a variety of foods; supervises the operation of the kitchen and cafeteria, and performs other related work as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

Required:
Equivalent to graduation from high school
Food Safety Managers Certification required

Knowledge of:
1. Methods and equipment used in serving foods in large
quantities; operation, cleaning, and care of utensils and
equipment.
2. Basic kitchen work, safety, and sanitary habits and dress.
3. Personal and institutional hygiene.
