Gleeds Egypt is looking for M&E Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager responsible for carrying out quantity surveying of different MEP trades on wider sector of construction projects from early cost advice to settlement of the final account.
Responsibilities:- Assist in carrying out quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities through the review of drawings and specifications.
Support the preparation and presentation of order-of-cost estimates and cost plans.
Assist in the valuation of construction works, including interim and final payment recommendations.
Contribute to the assessment and valuation of variations and change orders.
Ensure cost and quantity records are accurately maintained and well-organized.
Support the delivery of high-quality cost management services in line with client requirements and company procedures.
Assist in the preparation and compilation of contract documentation.
Provide support in procurement strategies, risk management, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Assist in preparing and presenting reports to clients.
- Assist in carrying out quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities through the review of drawings and specifications.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- 1 to 3 years post graduate demonstrable experience in different aspects of quantity surveying and construction methods and materials.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and logical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Ability to think creatively and identify cost saving opportunities.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimating and cost planning techniques.
- Working knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
- Be able to work as part of team.
