As a Designated Agency for the State of Vermont, NKHS provides comprehensive services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children and youth with emotional challenges, and adults with mental health and substance use needs.

Now Hiring: Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
Part-time and full-time positions available
Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
Hiring in the following locations:
South Ryegate, Hardwick, Craftsbury, Lunenburg, Greensboro, West/East Burke, Groton, Barnet, and Lyndonville
If you are compassionate, dependable, and looking for work that truly makes a difference, this role is for you. As a DSP, you'll work one-on-one with individuals who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities—supporting them in building independence, pursuing their goals, and participating in their communities.
What You'll Do:
- Provide support and guidance to individuals in employment and community settings.
- Help individuals develop and maintain natural support systems.
- Foster meaningful social roles, relationships, and independence.
- Promote dignity, respect, and empowerment in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities preferred, but not required.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance required.
- Must be reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting others.
Training is provided. We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds.
Salary & Benefits:
- Competitive pay! $19.25 - $23.53 per hour (higher rates for LNAs)
