Job Description

Creighton University is seeking a skilled Painter who takes pride in high-end finish work and delivering exceptional results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own projects from prep to final coat across interior and exterior spaces
  • Deliver high-quality finishes using sprayers, sanders, and specialty techniques
  • Repair and prep surfaces (drywall, wallpaper, caulking, patching, sanding)
  • Consult with campus partners to plan finishes, timelines, and project details
  • Mix and match coatings to achieve precise color and finish standards
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe worksite
  • Support other trades and coordinate with contractors as needed

 

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of commercial painting experience
  • Strong knowledge of coatings for various surfaces (including weather-exposed metals)
  • Ability to read plans, estimate materials, and manage projects independently
  • Skilled in surface prep, specialty finishes, and detail work
  • Commitment to craftsmanship, safety, and customer service

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Work at heights (ladders/scaffolding up to 20+ ft)
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, reaching, climbing)

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license (2+ years)
